Lighting the Way

Our Journey to Becoming Luminate Bank

What started as a small team with a big vision has grown into a trusted name in lending and financial services.

Back in 1998, we opened our doors as AMEC Home Loans with one simple mission: to make home financing clear, accessible, and centered on the people we serve. Even then, we believed lending should feel empowering, not overwhelming.

Over the years, our reputation for integrity, expertise, and personal service helped us grow, not just in size, but in impact. A leadership team committed to doing things differently turned our six-person operation into a thriving network of more than 600 professionals nationwide.

Through every home loan we closed and every dream we helped finance, we stayed true to our purpose: to simplify the mortgage process and guide people confidently toward homeownership.

A Bold New Chapter

In 2020, we reintroduced ourselves as Luminate Home Loans, a name that reflected our promise to bring more clarity, more transparency, and a brighter path to homeownership. It wasn’t just a new logo, it was a renewed commitment to transforming the lending experience for every client, partner, and community we serve.

Now, in 2025, our evolution continues. We’re proud to officially be Luminate Bank®, expanding beyond home loans to offer a full range of financial solutions, all under one trusted name.

Our new chapter means even more opportunities to serve you. What hasn’t changed? Our dedication to putting people first and creating meaningful, lasting relationships built on trust and guidance.

Looking Ahead

From our very first loan in 1998 to becoming the full-service financial institution we are today, one thing has always remained constant: our belief in lighting the way for our clients.

We’ve grown, evolved, and expanded, but our mission is still the same: To help you feel confident in every financial decision, with clarity, transparency, and a team that truly cares. And we’re just getting started.
