Interest payments depend on your CD term:
- More than 12 months: Interest is compounded and credited or paid quarterly.
- 12 months or less: Interest is not compounded and is paid at maturity.
Can I withdraw money from my CD early?
You may be able to withdraw funds before your CD reaches maturity, but an early withdrawal penalty may apply. Review your account terms before opening your CD so you know what to expect.
What happens when my CD matures?
When your CD reaches its maturity date, you'll have options for what to do next based on your account terms. Review your maturity notice for available options and important deadlines so you can decide how to manage your funds.
Is my money FDIC-insured?
Yes. Eligible deposits are FDIC-insured up to applicable limits, helping protect your savings with the security of federal deposit insurance.
